Food Standards in India
Food legislation in many countries around the globe requires that food be produced by means of process equipment that is easy to clean and that is microbiologically safe. The standards for different classes and designation of milk that can be sold in India are given in Table 9.5. Milk must conform to parameters for milk fat and milk SNF in the third and fourth columns.

Food Safety in the Presence of Unsafe Environments

A law is needed to enable the government to put in place the necessary institutional and legal frameworks to achieve the goals of the policy. Policies are a course of action that the government organization will take.
Policies are decisions that set the floor for a long-term goal. It doesn't make sense that the policies will be successful in helping the organization reach that long-term goal. Legislations are actually laws that must happen and be followed.
