Yahoo Did Not Know About a Data Breach
Keeping up with technological developments and maintaining satisfactory security controls are some of the basic tenets of data security. The hackers would have had more difficulty accessing customer accounts if Yahoo had used stronger and more secure technology sooner. The principle of data security is that security must be a priority for the board of directors.
If the board had been involved in security-related matters, Yahoo would not be in this situation. It appears that Yahoo knew of a data breach in the year of 2014, but did not investigate. It is not clear whether the company had proper policies and procedures in place or not, but it is clear that Yahoo should have done more in the first place when it became aware of the intrusion.
Yahoo did not have insurance for cybersecurity in its Form 10-Q. Yahoo spent more than $10 million investigating and remediating the two data breeches. The company is facing numerous lawsuits stemming from the breaches.
Yahoo and Other Companies Are Still Making Money
Yahoo and other companies are still making money for the company. The company's future in the space is not good because of its decreasing market share.
The Yahoo Logo
The first Yahoo logo was created in 1994. The wordmark is colored black and uses the Times New Roman fonts, but it was later changed. When the company changed its name to Yahoo in 1995, it introduced a logo that was more elaborate and had an exclamation point at the end.
Regulatory change in the EU: divided opinion
Some European Union countries are against a regulatory change and others are in favor of it, but divisions have deepened ahead of an emergency meeting of ministers on Tuesday. European gas prices have hit record highs in autumn and remain at lofty levels prompting most EU countries to respond with emergency measures like price caps and subsidies to help trim consumer energy bills. Spain, France, the Czech Republic and Greece are pushing for a bigger shake-up of the way EU energy markets work, in order to cushion against fossil-fuel price swings.
"I believe" is not good enough
"I believe" is not good enough. If you're talking about Identity Theft, you can give a Yes or No, and a link to ATT's site should you say yes. Your advice is worthless because you are just guessing.
Organizing Your Email
There are lots of options for how to layout your email. You can change the spacing of your inbox, align your messages differently, and use different colors and levels of brightness to make your screen more visible. Both platforms have a lot in common.
You can either mark them as important or mark them with a star. You can sort your inbox. You can archive or mark messages as junk.
You can mark messages as read or unread. Yahoo Mail functions with the folder system you might recognize from Outlook. Each folder has a separate inbox that you can stay organized in.
